Festive weekend at the movies: what to watch this Diwali season

Diwali has always been one of the biggest weekends for Indian cinema, and multiplexes are preparing for packed shows. Before booking, check reviews and age ratings, especially if you are taking children.

Book early for evening shows on Diwali and Bhai Dooj, compare prices across apps, and look for weekday matinee offers if you want a quieter experience. Many cities also run regional film festivals during the season, a great chance to discover new storytellers.
