"Stand with science": WHO puts trust in evidence at the heart of 2026 health campaign
World Health Day 2026 focused on fighting misinformation and the One Health approach.
The World Health Organization chose "Together for health. Stand with science." as the theme for World Health Day 2026, observed on April 7. The campaign called for evidence-led action to build a healthier world.
A key goal was to rebuild public trust in medical science and counter misinformation and unproven treatments, which spread quickly on social media.

The campaign also promoted the One Health approach, which recognises that human health is closely linked to the health of animals and the environment, a lesson reinforced by recent outbreaks.
